On this site I'll include reports on individual races, offer a schedule and previews of upcoming races, and talk about my favorite drivers.

On this home page, I'll talk about our last race in a short brief race re-cap.

Thanks for taking a look at my site. I'll be updating frequently, so check back often.

Grill Wins At Lowe's !!!

grillloweswin.jpg

Well it's been a while since I've updated this page but it's budget time for me and it's taken a little bit more time for me to get to this, also my site builder has been inaccessible for the last few days  but here we go!!!!
Last Sunday's race at Lowe's was dominated by an outstanding performance by the 66 car piloted by Mark Grillo. Grill's car was definetly hooked up and ready for the long runs where his car didn't give up a whole lot on the long runs.
Crash, who runs 2nd in points, gave a valiant challenge to even show up for the race suffering from the flu and severe migrain headaches. An early spin took crash out of the race but not before he set the fast lap of the race. It was a shame that he couldn't finish the race...no doubt there would have been a shoutout between the 88 and 66 cars.

With the season winding down it looks like Grillo is poised to claim his first AFM Championship but the points lead is still close enough that crash still poses a threat.

The last half of the season has been marked by the loss of some drivers which is very unfortunate and it is my hope that we can bring these drivers back and re-establish the league to what it has been in the past and bring in some quality drivers for next season.

BULLETIN!!!!!

SILLY SEASON BEGINS !!!!

The unofficial "SILLY SEASON" may have begun with AFM racing. Rumor has it that the 99 team may be retiring soon. A spokesman for the team would only say that the team owner and driver are evaluating their current situation and options and that a official announcement will probably come in a few weeks. The spokesman also said" there are many factors to be weighing into this decision...we're looking at the possibility of running a limited schedule for the remaining of the year and then making a decision for the 2003 season...the fire is still there to compete and we've had consective top 10 finishes in championship points...we're just looking at options right now."

I speculate that we'll see the 99 team in 2003.

66&67 Cars Pass Inspections

In recent NASCAR inpections the 66 car of Grillo and the 67 car of Farts passed very scrutinous inspections. With 8 wins between these cars, the teams came under suspicion after the Michigan 400 2 weeks ago.
Quoting an unamed NASCAR official" both cars were thouroughly checked for any rules infractions and found to be completely legal........however we do find that there are loose nuts behind the steering wheels on both cars"  We here at Inside AFM couldn't agree more !!!!
